YELLOW AND BLACK v BLUE AND WHITE
The battle lines are now drawn in
District No.1 St Helier by-election, as they are being drawn for the
forthcoming Autumn General Election.
Reform Jersey has raised the banner of social justice and democratic
reform on behalf of the ordinary working people of Jersey. On the other side is
the Establishment Party. In District No.1 St Helier Gordon Forrest has been
chosen to be their representative.
It will be hard for some, who prefer
to live in the past, to accept that something significant is happening in St
Helier politically. The old era is passing. The pundits are silenced by the
irrelevance of their ignorance. The election in District No.1 is a two horse
race.
TTS erected barriers yesterday and
this morning Establishment Party candidate Gordon Forrest put up his first
banner. He was beaten to the best positions by Reform, who was out at 10pm the
previous evening in wind and rain securing the most advantageous locations.
It is old but it is beautiful, and its colours they are fine.....
